Yorkshire Cancer Research

Yorkshire Cancer Research is close to my heart after my dad passed away from cancer some years ago.  Here you will find details of stuff I have done / going to do for Yorkshire Cancer Research.  Click on the image for their website.

I lost my dad to cancer a few years ago and it was quite upsetting to see a fit, healthy bloke go from that to a disabled man.  He battled cancer for six years but it finally beat him and he passed away peacefully at home.  If the few pounds I can raise make a difference it is worth it following my first hand experience of this terrible disease.

Spinal Injuries Association

The Spinal Injuries Association were kind enough to let me ride the Prudential Ride London-Surrey for them in 2015.  They are a really worthwhile cause doing lots of great work for people with spinal cord injuries.

When a friend recently suffered an accident and cracked a few vertebrae it kind of brings it home how easily you can damage your spine and the massive impact that can have on your life.
