Covid strikes again! As I write we are emerging from our 2nd lockdown but lockdowns aren’t all bad when it comes to cycling:
That there is 616 miles – the biggest ever monthly total I have ever ridden! As I detailed in my October blog, we were locked down from 5th November for 4 weeks. Looking for something positive to come out of it I decided to cycle 28 consecutive days in lockdown. As I have Zwift it is much easier to do but it has been a slog at times.
As I write I have done 25 out of 28 days but it turns out that we are only having 27 days of lockdown as everything opens back up on the 2nd December! Can’t Boris do anything right? 😂 Thankfully I rode the two days before lockdown so I’m on 27 consecutive days so far.
So far in 2020 I have ridden 4,217 miles (actual and virtual) which works out at 243 hours in the saddle. I have smashed my mileage target so I am going to abandon my weightless target (well it’s nearly Christmas after all) and not worry about my drinking target. I hardly drink now anyway. I’ll just concentrate on getting as many miles in before the end of the year and putting myself in a great position to get 2021 off to a flyer!
This year you can do the Rapha Festive 500 on Zwift much to everyones disgust haha! It seems like a good target so I’ll see how I feel a bit closer to the time and we might have a bash.
Well, until the next time!
