Film Review – Bug

I decided to download this film on the basis that Mark Kermode keeps banging on about how good it is.  It is by William Friedkin who from what I have seen makes ‘weird’ films so I was looking forward to seeing what he served up.

Bug is set in a run down motel with the main character, Agnes White, working in a local bar with her friend.  One night after work her friend and a male stranger come back to Agnes’s room for a party.  The man doesn’t leave and becomes the support for Agnes for her problems in more ways than one.

The film is pretty slow to get going but then turns very strange – but I was gripped to see where the story would go.  Overall a pretty enjoyable watch.
